Better Hunting: What's new (version history)

Listed below are updates to Better Hunting since launch. Minor tweaks may not be documented.

Hunting Trends and survey 2025 launched. Entry competition closes 1 Dec 2025.
Hunting Essentials and Firearm Essentials have had a shallow refresh. All module links checked and updated, minor updates implemented, and module completions are now awarded regardless of the five question summary quiz scores. Note the course assessments still requires 80% to pass.
Aging Sika Stags has been upgraded, with instant feedback, snappier performance (after loading) and sound effects. Same deer though.

Hunting Essentials: Sample Hunt Plan: e-scouting Orr Hill video added to Sample Hunt Plans.

Multi-map: Added mobile toxin information tool (access via side of DOC pesticide summary map button)

Hunting Community Map launched

Linked two more field-dressing and butchery videos to the Meat processing and carry out (field dressing) module in Hunting Essentials.
Hunting trends course launched, including Better Hunting's first year user survey.

Site: added multi-map functions to the hunt planner (intentions tool). You can now open weather and wind forecasts direct to your latest map click, and if you used the map click in the session, a multi-map link is added to the hunt plan email/print.
