August 2025
- Tahr ballot briefing made publicly available.
- Popular tools can now be found under 'Tools' on the main menu.
November 2024
- Linked two more field-dressing and butchery videos to the Meat processing and carry out (field dressing) module in Hunting Essentials.
- Hunting trends course launched, including Better Hunting's first year user survey.
July 2024
- Pig hunting course launched.
June 2024
- Hunting Essentials and Firearm Essentials: minor updates to Night hunting and How to hunt to reflect DOC hunting permit changes permitting handheld thermal imager use on PCL during daylight hours.
April 2024
- Site: added multi-map functions to the hunt planner (intentions tool). You can now open weather and wind forecasts direct to your latest map click, and if you used the map click in the session, a multi-map link is added to the hunt plan email/print.
February 2024
- Site: added multi-map tool and added it to top navigation bar for easy access.
- Hunting Essentials: added watercraft safety advice to River safety for hunters.
