Private land hunts

Hunting on private land can offer many benefits, such as:
- great visibility on open or patchy back paddocks
- drive-in access
- low hunting pressure.
Finding private access is personal, involving you getting to know landholders and gaining their trust, respect and friendship. You're best to ask experienced hunters at your local clubs and farmers in your community to test the waters. If that's too hard, you can pay!
Note: providing recreational hunter access isn't a complete no-brainer for private landholders with game animal challenges! If game animals need management on their properties, it's much easier for them to deal with one professional culler who hunts at night, taking all animals at once, than deal with multiple recreational hunters who slowly train the animals to be more cautious and usually make little population impact. To put it another way, landholders who provide recreational hunting access are hurting themselves a little bit to support the sport of hunting. Respect that.
